Things to Consider when Buying a Big Truck or Van
What is your current cargo capacity need?
What product or materials are you hauling?
How do you load or unload the truck?
What length, width and height are needed?
Available - lengths 9' thru 28', outside width 96" and 102", inside height 72" thru 108".
Do you have any critical dimensions such as overall length, width or height?
Custom lengths, widths and heights available upon request.
What body construction do you need?
Chose from the economical aluminum sheet and post or the durable heavy duty FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plywood).
Do you require an interior liner?
Interior packages include: Standard Plywood, Pacific (slats with hardwood floor) or Universal (plywood and slats) - with an FRP body a liner is not required.
Do you need to secure your cargo?
“A”,"E" or "F" track, D- rings, rope ties, floor ties or pipe pockets in the floor. Specify the desired location.
What type of side and rear doors are needed?
Single narrow, double narrow , full open swing doors or overhead rollup for rear. Sliding, swing, or rollup extruded aluminum side door with recessed stepsaver entry.
What are your loading and unloading requirements?
Forklift options are available, including additional cross members, threshold plate, reinforced rear end plate, reinforced front end, and heavy duty floor. (Available on 18’ to 28’ bodies)
What interior/exterior lighting options are needed?
Options include translucent roof, dome lights and spotlights with exterior lighting options including clearance lights, marker lights and spotlights as well as recessed taillights in corner posts. LED lights are an upgrade.
Do you need a liftgate?
Liftgate options include tuck away, conventional and rail type models. (You must consider platform size and capacity, bumper type, structural or fabricated.) Stop, turn and taillights provided with chassis or recessed in corner post. (Recessed lights in corner posts recommended with tuck away liftgate application.)
What style bumper, steps and/or ramp are needed?
Bumper options include standard ICC bumper and optional full width step bumpers, one-way drop step bumpers, folding steps available as well as a hand truck walk ramp for easy loading and unloading.
Will you need any signage/graphics applied or solid color body paint?
Custom color pre-painted sheets and panels are available as well as custom paint schemes and decal installation. FRP sidewalls are excellent for graphics.
